As part of ARK Estates’ committed to reducing the carbon footprint of our developments, all new builds will implement low carbon, energy saving technologies and materials, using best construction practices and working with trusted suppliers to create buildings with extremely low embodied and operational carbon.

Technologies & Materials

Roof-mounted PV solar panels, air source heat pumps, efficient glazing and insulation and low energy lighting systems.

Outcome & Performance

Unit 36a is rated Net Zero for operational carbon.

Unit 36b is rated A (07) for operational carbon.

Unit 36c is rated B (16) for operational carbon.

Social Capital

The development plays a vital role in local job creation and supporting the build out of essential low carbon energy infrastructure to support Scottish and UK Government net zero and energy security ambitions, with tenants such as Aurora Energy acting as a key player in the transition, while CDMM offers - amongst others - leading carbon consultancy services.
